The Aston Martin DB5 is a sports car released in HQTM Team's Classic Madness mod. It replaces the Aston Martin DB7 Vantage, with a stunning model of its beautiful ancestor. It is unlocked through completing the Final Exam in the London Crash Course.

A similar Aston Martin DB5 is available on Midtown Madness 2 eXtreme. It was converted from the Xbox 360 game, Forza Motorsport 3, and was made and released by Jelly for Midtown Madness 2.

History

The original Aston Martin DB series started in 1948, with the DB1 2-litre sports (named after the brand's new owner, David Brown), a small, but powerful sports car for the affluent market. This was followed by the DB2 in 1950 and the DB3 racecar in 1951, before the line had a complete redesign for the release of the DB4 in 1958. This new model was larger and sleeker, and inevitably led to the iconic DB5 in 1963, which went on to star in Goldfinger, securing it as the original "Bond car" and an international phenomenon. The DB6 replaced it in 1965, before the DBS was released in 1967, yet again redefining the line. However, the DBS only lasted until 1972, when production of the DB series stopped completely. It wasn't until 1994, that the line was revived with the DB7, and subsequently, the Aston Martin DB7 Vantage. The DB5 has since gone to star in four further Bond movies/films, while the DBS had a starring role in On Her Majesty's Secret Service, timelessly placing the cars in cinematic history.
