The Ferrari 250 GTO is a car released in HQTM Team's Classic Madness mod. It replaces the Panoz GTR-1 with this stunning Italian race car. It is unlocked through completing six London Checkpoint races.
History[]
The 250 GTO was designed in 1962 for racing in Group 3 Touring Cars. It was based on the existing Ferrari 250 GT SWB, and had been installed with the engine taken from the Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa. The remainder of the design was produced from extensive wind-tunnel tesing, aiming to allow the car to go as fast as possible on the track. The car debuted its racing career at the 12 Hours of Sebring in 1962 and went on to win the FIA International Championship for GT Manufacturers in 1962, 1963 and 1964. There were only 39 "250 GTO"s ever produced, meaning that an example of the car today can be worth millions of dollars (US). The GTO name has returned as one of Ferrari's sports cars for the Ferrari 288 GTO in 1984 and the Ferrari 599 GTO in 2010.
